The Global Logistics Convention is an annual freight logistics event of the Federation of East African Freight Forwarders Associations (FEAFFA). This year, the convention is scheduled to take place in Uganda following the last successful one that took place in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania last year.
Uganda Freight Forwarders Association (UFFA) in partnership with the National Logistics Platform and the Ministry of Works and Transport, is to host the 2nd edition of the Global Logistics Convention from 17th to 18th of September, 2018 under the theme: “Freight Logistics: The Edge to Competitiveness.”
According to Gideon Badagawa, Executive Director PSFU, He says: “Although Uganda is a land locked country, transport and logistics offers a unique opportunity to become land-linked, and the convention presents an opportunity to share best practice in trade and policy, engage a wide range of stakeholders, and define roles and responsibilities in the development process to facilitate a competitive environment for the sector.” PSFU stands for Private Sector Foundation Uganda. It is Uganda’s apex body for the private sector that is made up of over 200 business associations, corporate bodies and the major public sector agencies that support private sector growth in the country.
